API 510, Pressure Vessel Inspection Code: In-Service Inspection, Rating, Repair, and Alteration, is an inspection code developed and published by the American Petroleum Institute (API). The code covers inspection, repair, alteration, and rerating activities for pressure vessels and the pressure-relieving devices that protect vessels covered by the code. The most recent edition (10th) was released in May 2014.

API 653, API 653, Tank Inspection, Repair, Alteration, and Reconstruction, is a standard developed and published by the American Petroleum Institute (API) and covers the inspection, repair, alteration, and reconstruction of steel aboveground storage tanks used in the petroleum and chemical industries.  The implementation of this standard is a direct result of a catastrophic tank failure in Florefee, PA in 1988 that negatively affected millions of homes due to the overflow of petroleum product into nearby rivers.

API 570, Piping Inspection Code: In-Service Inspection, Repair, and Alteration of Piping Systems, is an inspection code developed and published by the American Petroleum Institute (API). The inspection code covers in-service inspection, rating repair, and alteration of metallic and fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) piping systems and their respective pressure-relieving devices. The most recent edition (4th Ed.) was released in February 2016, with the most recent update in 2018.
