Training - Welder

Although they do an excellent job, we at Base Line Data, Inc. believe that the universities and vocation colleges take considerably longer than necessary to prepare welders for the field. Some courses are designed as two-year programs in which associate degrees are issued. With proper training, much hands-on application and a desire on the part of the student to apply themselves, a student could be ready as an entry level welder in three (3) months in most processes. The Welder Training Courses we have designed are geared for this accomplishment. These courses are offered to give students the understanding and ability to perform certain welding applications in the field. The courses of instruction will consist of four welding processes, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW). All of these processes are being used in the Marine, Petro/Chemical, Pipeline and Power industries.

The Courses will consist of four (4) hours of instruction and application a day for a period of five days. The course will last for twelve (12) weeks. This will consist of 240 hours of training in which approximately 85% of the course will be hands on. At the completion of this course, the student should be able to pass a 6G-basic pipe test. All tests will consist of piping test administered to the requirements of the ASME Section IX code.

Students who successfully pass the examination, will be issued a Certificate of Completion in the process that they trained in. Having this training will assist in obtaining employment in this field and will boost one's potential for higher pay. The courses will be offered in three sessions a day. These times will be from 8:00 am to 12:00 am, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There must be a minimum of ten (10) students for each class for the class to form. These courses are offered at least three (3) times a year and the dates, pricing and sign-up can be accessed through the posted schedule. All courses are taught with the student in mind and are designed to give the student the ability to perform welding in a field setting.
