N.D.E. Examinations - Eddy Current Testing (ET)

Conventional Eddy Current is a Non-Destructive Examination Method for inspecting electrically conductive non-ferrous materials for cracks, loss of thickness, pitting and other discontinuities. Coupled with a well-trained technician, it can provide useful information in determining the condition of a multitude of parts. In the Petro/Chemical Industry its primary use is for tubular products.

One of the most common methods of examination is assessing tubes in heat exchangers. Some companies will infer that examination by Eddy Current will reveal all detrimental defects. The fact is, the search goes on.
